Water-cooled trailer axles first appeared in the public eye about 17 years ago, which was a relatively new invention at that time. Sounds more practical, so why has the water-cooled trailer axle not been widely promoted? In fact, this is mainly because of two levels of reasons.


First, on the objective level, the introduction of the new GB7258.


In September 2017, the new version of GB7258 was introduced, which clearly required that the three-axis fence plate and the three-axis fence must be installed with the disc trailer axle and air suspension, which provided a head of cold water directly to the water-cooled trailer axle that appeared in the same year, after all, the three-axis fence plate and the three-axis fence grid are very considerable in the market. The structure and performance of disc trailer axles are not suitable for the use of cold water cooling devices, and once these models exit the market of drum trailer axles, the target user group of water-cooled cycle trailer axles is naturally a large number less.


Second, on the subjective level, the technology of water-cooled trailer axle is not mature enough.


The principle of the water-cooled circulation device sounds feasible, but the problem is, how to complete the monitoring of the circulation in the water-cooled device in the real use process? How does the owner know if the water flow inside the device is smooth? Once the pipes are clogged and the water stops flowing, there's no cooling. In addition, will the water inside the water cooling unit freeze in cold weather? Once it freezes, how does it cycle?

Even if the circulation of the water cooling unit is not a problem, how can the temperature of the water flow sealed inside be monitored? Especially the water from the brake drum back into the tank, after cooling the brake, will the water temperature rise? How much will it rise to? Will the tank boil directly after many cycles?


This series of questions although the official has also given the answer, but still let the owners have doubts, want to dispel these doubts on the need for market testing, but the problem is that no owner is willing to be a guinea pig, so most of the choice of more mature technology hydraulic retarder.
