1. Poor battery life.


At present, the cruising range of most new energy trucks in China is about 150km-200km when fully loaded, and they cannot undertake long-distance transportation tasks. This has led to their service scope being limited to urban terminal delivery or short-distance intercity transportation. When receiving orders, car owners even have to calculate the distance to avoid running out of power on the return trip.


2. Charging is difficult.


At present, the supporting facilities of charging piles in many cities are not perfect, and even the charging of new energy passenger vehicles is not particularly convenient, which has also formed a certain obstacle to the popularization of electric heavy trucks. In addition, new energy trucks take a long time to charge, which cannot meet the high-frequency logistics transportation needs.

The main manifestations are the lack of professional maintenance personnel and the difficulty of purchasing parts. If the vehicle battery is damaged, the replacement cost is also very high.


6. It is difficult to recycle and transfer.


New energy vehicles are technologically updated relatively quickly, but there is no uniform standard for recyclable valuation, so it is more difficult to transfer and recycle.


What is the future development direction of fuel trucks?


Although the advantages of new energy trucks are obvious, the disadvantages cannot be ignored. Some car owners who are used to driving fuel vehicles often feel that new energy trucks are very uncomfortable in terms of power, charging, and maintenance.


But we have to admit that the rise of new energy trucks is a major trend, and more and more cities are starting to promote new energy vehicles. For example, Beijing stipulates that logistics and distribution vehicles below 4.5 tons basically use new energy vehicles. For example, Shanghai requires that 100% of new urban logistics vehicles in 2025 use new energy. We can believe that in the near future, the field of urban distribution logistics will become the world of new energy trucks.


As for fuel trucks, it is impossible to completely eliminate them, or they will shift more to the field of medium and long-distance logistics and transportation.
