Under normal circumstances, semi-trailer suspension license plate is yellow card. Then the owner asked: semi trailer can hang blue plate? Before you can answer this question, you need to know the difference between a blue card and a yellow card.


The difference between blue cards and yellow cards:


1. Different models applicable:


The blue brand is generally applicable to passenger cars in a broad sense, light passenger M1 class passenger vehicles, light trucks with a load less than 1.0 tons and mopeds;


Yellow card is suitable for large vehicles (trucks and special operation vehicles; Semi-tractor; Trolley car), trailer (full trailer and semi-trailer not fixed with the tractor), ordinary motorcycle (ordinary two-wheeled motorcycle and ordinary three-wheeled motorcycle), low speed vehicle (low speed truck, three-wheeled truck and wheeled mechanical vehicle), ordinary M2 light passenger car, large and medium-sized passenger car, truck with a load of 1.0 ton or more, coach car and coach motorcycle.


2. Different requirements for driver's license types:


Blue car C license above can drive; Yellow car B license above can drive.


3. Different driving restrictions:


In some cities, blue cars are allowed to pass without restrictions. And the yellow car should be divided into time, and even for the pass.


4. Different charging standards:


In terms of highway toll, blue car toll is low, while yellow car toll is generally higher. Yellow card car volume, weight and other factors are the reason for the relative increase in cost.


5, the annual inspection period is different:


Under normal circumstances, passenger vehicles in operation should be inspected once a year within 5 years, and once every 6 months if more than 5 years; Cargo vehicles and large and medium non-operating passenger vehicles shall be inspected once a year within 10 years, and once every 6 months if more than 10 years; Small and miniature non-operating passenger vehicles shall be inspected once every two years within 6 years, once every year if more than 6 years, and once every six months if more than 15 years.


6. Different requirements for operation certificate:


Blue brand generally does not need to handle the operation certificate; Yellow card must be handled for operating license, passenger transport and freight handling conditions are not the same.


From the above comparison, it can be seen that both the tractor and the carriage do not belong to the model that can hang the blue plate. The applicable vehicle type is an explicit provision. Needless to say, from the perspective of driver's license type alone, semi-trailer belongs to tractor in the vehicle type, requiring the driver's license level to reach A2, which is different from the driving license requirements of blue cars, so it cannot be hung blue.

But among the many models on the market, there does exist a "semi-trailer" with a blue nameplate, put in quotation marks. Why? Because this "semi-trailer" is not the traditional sense of semi-trailer, is in the light truck behind the towing and hanging in the middle of the axle car. According to the manufacturer, this model only needs a compliant blue C plate to drive.


In fact, this belongs to a certain extent to manufacturers deliberately confused behavior. It is true that you can hang blue cards, because light trucks can be on blue cards, and it is true that C can be opened, which the manufacturer did not lie. However, once a mid-axle car is towed behind a light truck, it is no longer a light truck, but a freight train, which requires an A2 license just like a semi-trailer.


Although this type of car can continue to hang blue plate, but according to the "People's Republic of China Road Traffic Safety Law implementation regulations" provisions, the truck traction trailer load quality shall not exceed the load quality of the truck, for example, traction light truck can transport 5t goods at most, the traction of the carriage transport goods must be less than 5t, can not exceed the main car. In this case, the freight train is limited in its capacity to carry only light cargo. The regulations also require trailers pulled by trucks to be fitted with synchronous braking devices, which are electric brakes on high-end trailers.

In addition, the truck traction freight train can not be on the blue plate, also depends on the truck's own conditions, generally need to meet three conditions, one is the total length of not more than 6 meters, two is the total mass of not more than 4.5t, three is the household tonnage cannot exceed 2t, these three conditions must be met at the same time to the blue plate, does not meet any of these three conditions, You get a yellow card.
