This is because the risk of transporting steel coils is far greater than that of ordinary goods. Under normal circumstances, the weight of a single bundle of steel coil can reach about 10t, if a car is loaded with four or five bundles, the weight is more than 50t, the risk factor is great, especially in the case of emergency braking, sharp steering and other situations, under the action of inertia is easy to lead to accidents.
In addition, at this stage, the intensity of the treatment is increasing, and the ordinary trailer can only transport a bundle of steel coils at a time, which is not much money; Transport two is likely to be overloaded, not only to increase the risk factor, but also easy to catch the traffic police, face fines and other penalties.
Anyone who has seen the steel coil transport vehicle knows that the steel coil is generally placed on the trailer with the arc down and horizontally, and it is easy to roll forward or backward, and in fact, there have been cases of steel coil rolling forward during transportation and knocking over the cab leading to accidents.
So why don't you put the plane down and stand it up? In fact, this is due to the two aspects of loading and unloading and cargo damage:
1, horizontal steel coil is more conducive to handling and handling.
Such a large weight of steel coil, loading and unloading by manual handling is impossible, must use large lifting tools. When the steel coil is placed horizontally, the sling of the crane or the rope used for lifting the fixed rope can be passed along the center of the steel coil to facilitate lifting and transportation. In contrast, if the steel coil is placed vertically, it will not only increase the time and cost of loading and unloading goods, but also affect the transportation efficiency.
2, transverse steel coil can reduce cargo damage.
Although the weight of the steel coil is large and the toughness is good, it is inevitable that there will be cargo damage during transportation, such as when the vehicle passes through the pothole section or speed bumps, the edge of the steel coil and the body friction back and forth, and it is inevitable that the side material wear, or even the edge deformation or damage. Especially aluminum coil, cold-rolled steel coil or galvanized steel coil, its own value is relatively high, even minor damage may lead to the deduction of freight.
If the steel coil is placed vertically at this time, once the bottom is knocked, it may cause damage to the whole bundle of steel coil, but if the steel coil is placed horizontally, even if the bottom is damaged, it is only the most outer circle of steel coil damage, which can greatly reduce the amount of cargo damage.
Therefore, even if the owners know that the steel coil is placed horizontally and easy to roll, they still choose such a mode of transport. So how do you ensure safety in transit?
1. Add thick wood or straw mat at the bottom of the steel coil to increase the friction between the steel coil and the car box, which can minimize the displacement of the steel coil.
2, the installation can block the triangular wood or wave plate, the height difference as high as possible, can play a blocking role in the moment the steel coil slides.
3, the steel coil is fixed with steel wire rope, pay attention to not using ordinary rope, it is best to use the hand hoist to pull tight, can play a better tightening and fixing role than manual. After tying, be sure to check several times, and be careful.
4, the driving speed can not be too fast, attention should be concentrated, use more defensive braking, try to avoid emergency braking, but not sharp turns. When stopping for a rest, pay attention to check whether the triangle wood, wave plate, steel wire rope is loose, and pull it tight once it is found to be loose.
5, do not overload, do not fatigue driving. Do you remember Wuxi overhead rollover? Because the semi was overloaded, pulled six steel coils. In addition, do not fatigue driving, even if the transportation time requirements are high, safety is the most important, do not put the cart before the horse.
