The three-line six-axle is a special semi-trailer. Their length, width, and load are different from ordinary semi-trailers. They are commonly known as "crawling all over the ground". A "hundred-ton king" model that can go to households in compliance with regulations and can go to high speeds.


The three-line six-axle semi-trailer is generally dedicated to the transportation of large-scale cargo, and is specially used to transport those cargoes that are oversized, overweight, bulky and cannot be disassembled, such as oversized cargo, ultra-wide cargo, ultra-high cargo and overweight cargo.

Compared with the ordinary semi-trailer, the advantage of the three-line six-axle semi-trailer is that the load capacity is large, the load on the axle is relatively uniform, and the longitudinal tie rods adopt a double-row form, which can reduce the left-right swing of the vehicle during driving.


In terms of length, three-line six-axle semi-trailers can be divided into 13m, 13.75m, 15m, 16m, 16.5m, 17.5m, 18m, 50m, 22m and so on.


According to different transportation needs, it is divided into three-line three-axis, three-line six-axis, four-line eight-axis, five-line ten-axis, etc. Generally, three-line six-axis can allow the transportation of goods within 80t, and four-line eight-axis can allow the transportation of 100t For goods within 120 tons, five lines and ten axes can transport goods within 120t, and so on.


It is worth noting that, except for the three-line six-axle semi-trailer that can apply for household registration, all other models need to apply for a temporary license, which is generally valid for only one month, and it needs to be reissued in advance after the expiration. In addition, the transportation route or transportation time must also be operated according to regulations, because some goods may exceed the specified limits of road alignment and bridge and culvert capacity, and need to detour, rebuild or even remove obstacles encountered in advance.

From the appearance point of view, the three-line six-axle semi-trailer mainly has three types: flat type, ladder type and groove type:


The flat type mainly refers to the high and low boards, the length of the high board part is about 3-4m, the length of the low board part is about 10-15m, the board width is about 3m, the height from the ground is about 0.8m, and the height difference is generally 30 cm;


The ladder type refers to a semi-trailer with a hydraulic ladder at the rear of the vehicle, which is mainly used to transport construction machinery and equipment such as excavators, presses, bulldozers, etc. The hydraulic ladder can facilitate the equipment to get on and off the vehicle, and drive directly from the ground to the vehicle;


Groove type means that the cargo platform of the semi-trailer is curved and concave, which is used to load large tank equipment or other large equipment, which is easier to fix in comparison.


Among flat-bed and ladder-type large-scale transport vehicles, some models with relatively small loads are three-wire and three-axle, that is, three rows of wheels are installed on the semi-trailer, and only one axle is installed in each row, and a total of 12 tires are installed. The weight that can be transported is about 45t; three-wire six-axle, four-wire eight-axle, five-wire ten-axle and other models are installed with two axles side by side in a row; with the increase of the number of axles, the load capacity of multi-line and multi-axle will increase. Strong, for example, three axles are installed side by side in a row, that is, three-wire nine-axle, four-wire twelve-axle, and so on.
