Many trailer factories said that if the trailer is required to be equipped with a disc brake, then the main car must be equipped with a hydraulic retarder.

This is because the brake reaction speed, heat dissipation, heat attenuation resistance, water attenuation resistance of the disc brake is better than the drum brake, but the braking force is small, can not meet the braking needs of medium and heavy trailers or vehicles in the long downhill process, in addition, the disc brake can not use the water shower device to cool down, otherwise it will crack the brake disc, affecting driving safety.

The hydraulic retarder is a vehicle retarder that reduces the speed of the vehicle through the hydraulic device, also known as the hydraulic retarder, which can achieve deceleration braking under the non-emergency braking that can be predicted in advance such as long downhill, so as to replace the brake, so that the use of the brake can be greatly reduced, and the safety problems such as brake failure caused by long-term braking can be avoided.

1. Braking is safer.
