As for illegal modification, the types are more, basically in addition to the two kinds of legal modification mentioned above, the rest of the suspected "modification engine registration structure, structure and characteristics" are illegal modification, more common mainly have the following:

1. Arbitrarily change the color of the car body.

According to "Motor Vehicle Safety Technical Inspection Items and Methods" (GB38900-2020), when the trailer is inspected annually, the body color should be consistent with the vehicle photo on the motor vehicle driving license, and there should be no obvious difference in visual inspection.

2. Unauthorized change of vehicle type or use.

It generally refers to the unauthorized conversion of passenger cars into freight cars, freight cars into passenger cars, ordinary freight cars into special freight cars, special freight cars into ordinary freight cars, sleeping buses into seat buses, seat buses into sleeping buses.

3. Obviously widen, lengthen and increase the height to change the vehicle outline size.

The measured value of the trailer's outer profile size shall not exceed the specified limit value of GB7258 and GB1589, and the error of the value squeezed on the motor vehicle driving license shall not exceed ±3% or ±150mm; The height of the pallet of the trailer shall be consistent with the motor vehicle registration information and the height of the pallet sprayed on both sides of the cab, or the error shall not exceed ±50mm. In addition, the locking mechanism of the vehicle should be complete and intact, and the cargo box fence and bottom plate should be regular.

In addition, "remove the roof cover of the van trailer", "remove the ceiling pole of the warehouse grid type trailer", "change the large size tank body" and so on also belong to illegal modification behavior.

4. Modify the vehicle chassis without authorization to increase the load capacity.

The modification of the trailer chassis is also unable to pass the annual inspection, such as arbitrarily increasing or reducing the number of tires, arbitrarily increasing or reducing the number of axles. The annual audit requires that the number of rear axle leaf springs of the trailer should be consistent with the motor vehicle registration information, and there should be no obvious widening or thickening, and the tire specifications should also be consistent with the registration information.

5. Add wood for heating or spare fuel tank.

Many owners in order to warm themselves in winter, choose to install wood heating, or in order to improve the operating mileage after refueling, choose to install a spare tank, both of which are illegal modifications.

6. Arbitrarily change the main assembly parts of the vehicle.

For example, unauthorized replacement of the engine, transmission, front axle, rear axle or frame that is different from the original model; Replacing the body of a vehicle or tank car without authorization; Unauthorized change of vehicle suspension form.

7. Vehicle modification.

Some owners in order to pursue personality, will change the mark of the vehicle, note that this is also illegal modification, because the vehicle has changed the registered characteristics and vehicle model, so want to pass the annual inspection, but also need to restore the original state.

8. Modify the headlights of vehicles.

According to the provisions of "Motor Vehicle Safety Technical Inspection Items and Methods" (GB38900-2020), motor vehicles are not allowed to retrofit the external lighting and signal devices, and are not allowed to install rear spotlights, and are not allowed to install external lighting and signal devices other than the mandatory standards. Therefore, refitting headlights or adding spotlights can not pass the annual audit.

2. Install hydraulic tailplate.
