The gooseneck semi-trailer generally has a gooseneck in the front, a cargo platform in the middle, and a wheel frame in the rear. There are no fences around it. From the structural point of view, it can be mainly divided into flat type, concave beam type and tire exposed type.

When buying a car, people often hear business people say "big gooseneck" and "little gooseneck". So how do these two semi-trailers differ?


In fact, it is mainly distinguished from the height of the gooseneck. Generally speaking, the height difference between the gooseneck and the cargo platform of a large gooseneck semi-trailer is > 300 mm, and the height of the cargo platform is ≤ 1300 mm; the height difference between the gooseneck and the cargo platform of a small gooseneck semi-trailer is relatively smaller, and the cargo platform height is also relatively higher.


At present, the relevant departments are constantly strengthening the control of over-limit and overloading. Even a container semi-trailer cannot exceed 4m in height. From this point of view, the large gooseneck semi-trailer can better reduce the height and center of gravity of the cargo platform, which solves the problem of super-high vehicles without exceeding the limit. At the same time, the center of gravity is stable, which is conducive to driving safety.

It is worth noting that the gooseneck is not allowed to load goods on the gooseneck of the semi-trailer. This is an express regulation of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and car owners must strictly abide by it to avoid fines or deductions.

Under normal circumstances, the gooseneck structure mainly exists in low-bed semi-trailers, special skeleton vehicles for container transport and some vehicle transport semi-trailers (car carriers).
