According to the JT/T 1284-2020 technical specification for low plate semi-trailers, in addition to low plate semi-trailers, three models of "low plate enhanced semi-trailer", "three-axis low plate enhanced semi-trailer" and "variable five-axis low plate enhanced semi-trailer" are also defined.
Therefore, the semi-trailer, which is 13.75 meters long and 3 meters wide, is legal. However, the car mainly pays attention to two major premises:
1, gooseneck legal, equal width is not legal.
The concave beam frame is generally used in the structure of the low plate semi-trailer, that is, the front section is gooseneck, the middle section is the cargo platform, the rear section is the wheel frame, and there is no fence plate around.
Some owners do not think that the front gooseneck affects the loading capacity, will require modification to the front and rear equal width of the cargo platform, trailer factory in order to cater to users, will also launch some modified models.
Note that if the vehicle is a low plate semi-trailer, trailer axles or the size of the vehicle has reached 13.75 meters long and 3 meters wide, it must use a gooseneck structure, and the equal width structure is illegal.
2, loading general goods is not legal.
Low plate semi-trailer belongs to a special model, is the transport of non-removable large goods, "low plate enhanced semi-trailer", "three-axis low plate enhanced semi-trailer", "variable five-axis low plate enhanced semi-trailer" is also used for the transport of large goods, which is expressly stipulated.
