Since the beginning of this year, China has accelerated the construction of a comprehensive freight hub system around clearing logistics bottlenecks and checkpoints.

Prioritize the use of existing logistics parks and freight stations, plan and construct a comprehensive freight hub that efficiently integrates multiple transportation modes, and guide the centralized layout of functional facilities such as cold chain logistics, postal express delivery, and emergency support.

Improve the collection and distribution railways of freight hubs, accelerate the construction of multimodal transport facilities, promote the expansion and transformation of transshipment facilities, and promote the sharing of information on various transportation modes.

While increasing the construction of facilities such as universal postal services and express processing centers, we will also connect with hubs such as railways, highways, and civil aviation.

As of now, over 400 comprehensive freight hubs in 37 hub cities in China are accelerating their construction. Through business cooperation such as cargo transportation, we directly serve over 220 national level industrial parks and clusters, helping to promote the integrated development of upstream and downstream industrial chains while further reducing logistics costs.

In addition, the Ministry of Transport has also increased the promotion of railway dedicated lines entering port areas and industrial parks. Currently, there are 22 port collection and distribution railways and 50 park collection and distribution railways accelerating construction nationwide.

Song Caiping, a second level inspector of the Comprehensive Planning Department of the Ministry of Transport: Next, we will continue to work with the Ministry of Finance to strengthen the national comprehensive freight hub, focusing on strengthening the construction of port collection and distribution railways, postal express hubs, and dual-use public infrastructure, promoting cross mode connection, cross regional linkage, and cross domain integration, improving the operational efficiency of comprehensive freight hubs, and reducing logistics costs.
