3、Check the bearing fit clearance. Check the fit of bearing inner diameter and journal, the fit clearance should be no more than 0.1mm, the measuring part should be two positions above and below the vertical ground of shaft diameter, the place is the maximum wear position, the bearing should be replaced when the fit clearance is exceeded.
4、Apply grease. Fill the gap between the inner seat ring and the cage roller of the bearing with new grease, and apply a thin layer of grease on the inner and outer surface of the bearing. A thin layer of grease inside the hub cavity and inside the axle head cover can play an anti-rust role, but not too much, otherwise it will easily affect heat dissipation or braking. Finally, the hub can be installed.
Some owners may buy maintenance-free axles, according to the manufacturer's propaganda, this kind of axle maintenance cycle can reach 30W or 50W km. It is worth noting that maintenance-free axle ≠ inspection-free axle, although its maintenance interval is extended, daily inspection and maintenance are still essential.
