Suspension can generally be divided into independent suspension and non-independent suspension two, usually the trailer is used by non-independent suspension. Common non-independent suspension can be divided into the following four types:
The rigid suspension is connected by an axle on the left and right, and the chassis of the body acts directly on the axle. This kind of damping effect is very poor, the longitudinal unevenness of the road completely depends on the swing of the balance beam to adapt, so as to maintain the relative balance of the front and rear axles.
At present, this kind of suspension is used less, mainly for the axis of carrying goods at low speed.
Single point suspension is to reduce the common leaf spring before and after support into a single support connected to the car body, its force point is shared on the front and rear two axles, compared to the ordinary leaf spring suspension, single point suspension bearing capacity is greater.
This kind of suspension is less used on ordinary semi trailers, mainly used on heavy vehicles.
Steel plate suspension is our common leaf spring, the full name is series steel plate spring balance suspension. It is mainly composed of leaf spring, suspension support (commonly known as lifting lug), connecting rod, U-bolt and other parts. The longitudinal force of the body falls directly on one axle.
The biggest advantage of this suspension is that it is cheap, good reliability and convenient maintenance. At present, more than 80% of ordinary semi-trailers in China use steel plate spring balanced suspension.
The most obvious characteristic of the air suspension is the air bag type air spring, the air spring itself is relatively light, the air medium friction in the air bag, almost no noise when working, and its life is 2-3 times that of the leaf spring. But when the air spring is used, it is necessary to set up the bar system that can transmit all kinds of forces and moments other than the vertical force, so the suspension structure is complex; In addition, the air spring has strict sealing requirements, and its cost is higher. At present, most of the domestic air suspension is precision instrument transportation, tobacco transportation, dangerous transportation and other high-end fields.
