Range of trailer modifications:

1. Unauthorized change of vehicle type or use.

It generally refers to the unauthorized conversion of passenger cars into freight cars, freight cars into passenger cars, ordinary freight cars into special freight cars, special freight cars into ordinary freight cars, sleeping buses into seat buses, seat buses into sleeping buses.

2. Change the color of the vehicle without authorization.

Refers to the unauthorized modification of the cab and body to a different appearance color from the original vehicle.

3. Arbitrarily change the main assembly parts of the vehicle.

For example, unauthorized replacement of the engine, transmission, front axle, rear axle or frame that is different from the original model; Replacing the body of a vehicle or tank car without authorization; Unauthorized change of vehicle suspension form.

4. Small and miniature road passenger vehicles should be equipped with front and rear anti-collision devices, road freight vehicles should be equipped with windshields, water tanks, tool boxes, spare tire frames, etc., and road transport vehicles should be equipped with interior decoration, etc. As long as the safety and identification plates are not affected, the car owners can decide by themselves, and the competent traffic departments and road transport management agencies shall not identify the vehicles as illegally modified road transport vehicles.

5. Unauthorized change of vehicle exterior dimension or bearing limit.

Traffic penalty standard of trailer modification:

If the modified trailer exceeds the approved carrying mass, it shall be fined not less than 200 yuan but not more than 500 yuan; Whoever exceeds the approved load by 30 percent or carries passengers in violation of the regulations shall be fined not less than 500 yuan but not more than 2,000 yuan.

Legal basis of traffic penalty for trailer modification:

2. Article 16 of the Road Traffic Safety Law, no unit or individual shall:
