In general, the trailer every 50,000 kilometers, you need to do a maintenance on the hub bearings. Then how should be maintained?
1. Clean up the old grease. Remove the hub, clean the bearing, journal and hub cavity, scrape off the old grease, and then wipe it clean with cleaning agent or diesel, and then clean with clean water, dry the hub cavity with a clean rag.
2. Check bearing and seat ring. After the cleaning is completed, check the hub bearing and bearing ring, and replace the bearing in time if cracks, fatigue peeling, roller loose and other phenomena are found.
3, check the bearing clearance. Check the matching between the bearing inner diameter and the journal. The matching clearance should be no more than 0.1mm. The measuring position should be the two positions above and below the vertical ground of the shaft diameter, which is the maximum wear position.
4. Apply grease. Fill the gap between the bearing inner seat ring and the cage roller with new grease, and apply a thin layer of grease to the bearing inner and outer surfaces. A thin layer of grease in the hub cavity and the shaft head cover can play a rust-proof role, but it can not be too much, otherwise it will easily affect heat dissipation or braking. Finally install the wheel hub.
