As a relatively high-end vehicle suspension system, air suspension is mainly composed of air bags, air pumps, guiding mechanisms, pressure sensors, control modules, etc. It has light weight, excellent shock absorption, strong cargo protection ability, and can also realize single or multi-bridge lifting, saving comprehensive vehicle costs. When the vehicle is driving at high speed, the air suspension can better control the body and make corresponding changes to different road conditions to achieve stable driving of the vehicle.
Air suspension is not without shortcomings, because its production process is complex, many parts, high cost is on the one hand, and compared with the traditional plate spring structure, air suspension is also more prone to damage problems. For example, some owners mentioned that "the air suspension of the vehicle appears after parking for a night", what is the reason?
In fact, the air suspension in the normal state, if a long time does not work, will gradually release a part of the air, so as to avoid excessive pressure, protect the system performance, so the vehicle stopped when the trailer air suspension height of the appropriate drop is no problem. Of course, in this case, the height of the body will not fall too low, if there is a direct crouching phenomenon, it is likely to be the air bag or pipeline leakage problem.
Of course, the owner can also start the vehicle to test, if the air suspension can automatically restart and rise to the normal working position after starting the vehicle, it indicates that there is no problem with the air pump and distribution valve, that is, there is air leakage in the air bag or management.
In the process of using the vehicle, the owner can also determine whether there is air leakage through some phenomena:
When the air output is less than the air intake, that is, when the air leakage is not obvious, the body may not sink, but you can hear the sound of the air pump "Dong dong dong" constantly pumping, which side of the noise is large, generally which side has a problem;
When the output air volume is larger than the intake air volume, the air bag will collapse, and the amplitude of turbulence will increase, especially when the speed bump or pothole section is encountered, the steering wheel is easy to run off;
If the vehicle has recently fallen into a pit, and then there is a strange sound of "clunking", it may be that the spring or other parts of the air suspension are damaged.
If the vehicle is installed with the central control computer board, the system fault light will be lit when the air suspension fails, and it is recommended that the owner find a safe place to stop and repair as soon as possible or drive directly to the nearest maintenance station.
Because the air suspension is not as resistant as the plate spring suspension, the owner should pay attention in the daily use of the car, in the face of complex road conditions to reduce the speed in time, to avoid sand and stone splash damage to the air bag, pothole road also need to slow down to avoid severe turbulence damage to the precision components in the trailer air suspension. At the same time, after traveling in bad weather such as wind, frost, rain and snow and passing the asphalt road in high temperature in summer, attention should be paid to maintaining the cleanliness of the air bag and piston surface.
Air suspension system maintenance recommendations:
1, all air suspension accessories
Inspect at least once a month to visually detect damage and abrasion.
2, air bag, piston
Check frequently;
Check the surface of the airbag for damage
Check the tightness of the airbag connecting bolts;
The air pressure is not less than 0.6MPa.
3, control the gas path
Check before and after the first loading;
Check and maintain the cleanliness and integrity of the air filter, and replace it if it exists;
Check whether the air tightness of each valve body and pipeline connector is damaged;
Check whether the connectors and fasteners of each valve body are damaged and locked.
4. Shock absorber
Check at least once a quarter;
Check the tightness of the upper and lower joints of the shock absorber;
Check the tightness of the shock absorber;
Check that the shock absorber is working properly.
5, axle and guide plate spring components and U-bolts
It is recommended to tighten the new car with a torque wrench after the first loading, and then check it every quarter;
Check whether the spring seat and clamp plate are welded.
6, guide spring bracket and guide spring and link bolt
It is recommended that the new car be inspected after the first loading and once every quarter after that.
7. Axle lifting device
Quarterly inspection is recommended;
Check the wear of the rubber buffer block on the lifting bracket;
Check whether the bolts connecting the lifting air bag are loose.
8. Limit wire rope
Quarterly inspection is recommended.
9. Check the gas storage tank
Often check the working state of the drainage valve at the bottom of the gas tank, if the weather is frost and wet, it should be checked once every half month, and release the water in the gas tank.
10, body height (FH value)
Quarterly inspection is recommended;
The FH value is set when the trailer leaves the factory, and the user must check it regularly according to the FH value specified by the trailer factory to make it consistent with the trailer when it leaves the factory.
11. Check the height valve
It is recommended to visually check the valve every week for obstacles around the valve to ensure that the valve control arm and the vertical rod are not subject to any interference within the dynamic travel limit of the axle.
