Fully implement Phase 6b of National VI Emission Standards
Recently, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, the General Administration of Customs and the State Administration of Market Regulation jointly issued the "Announcement on the implementation of National VI Emission Standards for Automobiles".
The relevant notice is as follows:
1. As of July 1, 2023, Phase 6b of the National VI emission Standard will be implemented nationwide, and the production, import and sale of automobiles that do not meet Phase 6b of the National VI emission Standard will be prohibited. The production date shall be subject to the manufacturing date of the motor vehicle certificate, and the electronic information of the certificate shall be uploaded before 0:00 on July 1, 2023; The import date shall be the arrival date of the import certificate; The date of sale is subject to the date of motor vehicle sales invoice.
2. For light vehicle National VI b models whose report results of some actual driving pollutant emission test (namely RDE test) are "only monitored", a half-year sales transition period will be granted, allowing sales until December 31, 2023.
3. Automobile production and import enterprises, as the subject responsible for the consistent management of environmental protection production, shall, in accordance with the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Air Pollution and other relevant provisions, disclose vehicle emission test information and pollution control technical information before leaving the factory or entering the country to ensure that the vehicles actually produced and imported meet the requirements. Relevant certification bodies shall issue mandatory product certification certificates in accordance with National VI emission Standard 6b.
Knowledge development:
National VI is the national Phase VI emission standard for motor vehicle pollutants. The National VI emission standard has two stages, namely Phase VI a and Phase VI b. Phase VI a standard will be implemented on July 1, 2020, while Phase VI b standard will be implemented on July 1, 2023.
Phase VI a standards will be less stringent. Phase VI b standards are the most stringent emission standards in history:
Country VI a stage requires carbon monoxide emissions cannot exceed 700mg/km, country VI b requires 500mg/km;
For non-methane hydrocarbons, the content of sexA should not exceed 68mg/km, while sexB is 35mg/km.
The emission of nitrogen oxides in country VI a shall not exceed 60mg/km, and Country VI b shall not exceed 35mg/km;
The emission of PM fine particulate matter should not exceed 4.5mg/km in Country 6A and 3mg/km in country 6A.
