Different trailer axle is suitable for the working condition

1. Drum axle.


Drum axle is the most widely used type of axle on the semi-trailer, and it also accounts for the highest proportion in the market.


Compared with other axles, the most obvious advantage of drum axles is that the price is relatively low, the accessories are basically common in the industry, and the design is simple, and the subsequent maintenance and replacement are more convenient.


From the point of view of braking performance, the drum axle has a sealed brake drum, and the braking friction area is large, which can provide more sufficient braking force for the semi-trailer, especially the heavy semi-trailer.


Therefore, the drum axle can be widely used in all kinds of general cargo transportation, such as sand and stone, steel coil, wood, coal and other large weight cargo transportation can also be applied.


2. Disc axle.


In recent years, the application of disc axle in semi-trailer is more and more, on the one hand, thanks to the promotion of relevant policies, on the other hand, it is closely related to its own advantages.


Disc axle with bare brake disc instead of sealed brake drum, heat dissipation, heat attenuation resistance, water attenuation resistance and so on have been greatly improved.


In addition, the disc axle is optimized for the brake transmission component, which can drive the brake pads immediately after stepping on the brake, and the brake response speed is fast, and the linear stability is strong, and the brake is more stable.


Especially with ABS, EBS, hydraulic retarder, air suspension and other devices used together, the advantages of the disc brake have been greater.


In the field of application, in addition to the three-axis fence grid semi-hanging mandatory by the state, those transport conditions with high requirements for cargo damage, such as dangerous goods transport, precision instrument transport, precious goods transport, flowers and vegetables transport, etc., are more suitable for disc axles.


It is worth noting that in those mountain road transportation with poor road conditions, if the disc brake is combined with auxiliary braking devices such as liquid slow, it can often obtain better braking effect than the drum axle.


3, low flat axle.


The low flat axle belongs to the special axle of the low flat semi-trailer, such as the 13.5 large plate truck. According to the requirements of regulations, the large pallet car can only be used to transport large goods that can not be disassembled, ordinary goods are not allowed to transport, one is unsafe, and the other is not conducive to the good development of the freight market.


Compared with other axles, the low flat axle is shorter in height and higher in wall thickness, which can facilitate the loading and unloading of goods, facilitate the passage of the height limit section, improve the smoothness of transportation, and can also carry higher weight, transportation machinery and equipment, large tanks, construction equipment, power station equipment, etc. In addition, like some car semi-trailers are also suitable for low flat axles.


4. Three-line six-axle axle.


Three-line six-axle axle is mainly used for large or oversized transport, this kind of cargo volume, weight is large, generally not removable, the need for large or special vehicles for transport. The three-line six-axle axle is specially customized for large transport vehicles, carrying up to 80t, and the number of tires is large, reducing the average pressure of the contact surface and reducing the damage to the tire and road surface.
